How to Apply a Vinyl Decal
Step 1) CLEAN THE SURFACE
Clean the surface of dust and grime using a mild soap or rubbing alcohol. (Do not use ammonia based cleaners)
Step 2) PREPARE and POSITION DECAL
Position your decal to desired location and secure with painters tape. Create a hinge with the tape placed vertically on the decal.
Step 3) APPLY DECAL
Working with one section at a time peel the liner/backing paper from the decal, the decal should remain on the premask. Cut away the release liner, using a squeegee and firmly apply the decal working from the center out. Remove the tape hinge and repeat on the other side.
Step 4) REMOVE TRANSFER TAPE
At a 45 degree angle starting at a corner slowly peel back the transfer tape ensuring that the decal remains on the desired surface. If there are any bubbles prick them with a pin or fine sharp object and press the air out towards the puncture hole.
Helpful Tips
* It is recommended that the air and application surface temperature be above 50 degrees * If the surface is freshly painted, allow for proper curing of the paint before applying decal
